Made from tough ceramic, dental veneers are durable and long lasting. Exactly how long they will last is largely a matter of how they are looked after but ten years is the minimum expected lifespan. However, with good care this can be extended to twenty years and more.
The same rules of care apply for dental veneers as they do for teeth:
– Avoid chewing on hard objects
– Do not grind the teeth
– Use protective guards when playing sports
Dental veneers are “resistant to staining, cracks and chips” and regular check-ups at the dentist as well as professional cleaning will extend their lifespan while maintaining a bright, confident smile.
